The Chilean vine palm prefers a well drained acid soil and needs regular watering especially when young.
Jubaea Chilensis is a slower grower and does well with regular fertilizer, it has no major disease or insect problems and prefers Mediterranean temperatures down to -13 -15c and will not tolerate very hot temperatures.
This palm looks best in a fair size garden or if there is enough room grouping would look impressive.
